Began My Work Placement At The National Trust!

Began My Work Experience At The National Trust!

During my T-Level Course at College, we were all told we would have to get some Work Experience, and thankfully, our Workplace Co-Ordinator is excellent at getting us Students a Work Experience Placement, and she had put my CV into the National Trust to see if they would look at taking me on board. Thankfully, they did, and I was invited for an interview. I was really nervous about the interview because I'd never done one before, but they had said in emails that it would be like an informal interview. I did really well in the interview and I was really happy when I got the email saying that I had got the placement and they took me on to help them with their Property Pages for Volunteers which essentially helps Volunteers stay up to date on Newsletters or see past Newsletters, see the Who's Who so they can begin to recognize people on the property they're based at and that can help them conversate with those people about what they do at the Trust and so on, and it also lets Volunteers explore other Properties' Information such as their Who's Who and what they've been up to over at that Property. It's really nice and I've really enjoyed building the Property Pages because before me they were really out of date with the last update to them being around 2017~, ~2018~, ~2019 etc and my manager was trying to update them herself but she couldn't dedicate enough time to it but she and my other manager really loves the way that the site has gone and the work that I've done. Also, thankfully, because they took me on and they saw how well and professional I was, they also took on some more of my Colleges' students, which is fantastic to hear, and I'm so glad to know that I played a part in laying down the pathway for others to be successful too! It means a lot to know that I'm helping so many people through my educational journey; it's really lovely!
